Wanda Elizabeth Kirkwood

WANDA ELIZABETH KIRKWOOD 75, of Baker City passed away on November 8,2015, with her family by her side.

Born January 29, 1940 in Tulsa Oklahoma, daughter of late Anna Belle Ryan and Moses Jefferson Townsend. She married Robert Kirkwood in April 24, 1954; 61 years of marriage.

She retired after 18 years as receptionists for Senior and People with Disabilities.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Kirkwood, son Bob Kirkwood and wife Sue of LaChine, Michigan; son Rex Kirkwood and wife Karen of Baker City, Or; son Roger Kirkwood of Baker City; daughter Vena Callow and husband Patrick of Baker City.

One of her greatest joys is having the family together. Her grandchildren were all so special to her, Tara Garrison of Ontario, Or, Christopher Kirkwood of North Carolina, Tyler and Brittney Kirkwood of Michigan; Travis Kirkwood, Melissa Nipper of Baker City, Taylor Anderson of Emmet, ID, Adam Mastin of Nampa, ID, Justin Cole of Meridian, ID, Roger Kirkwood, Jr. and Rylan Kirkwood of Baker City; and her great and great great grandchildren as well.

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Anna Bell Ryan, her Daddy, Moses Jefferson Townsend, her brothers Edgar and Leon Townsend; and her sisters Patricia Dalton and Louise Gregory.

A private graveside service for family members only will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery on Friday, November 13, 2015.

Friends and family are welcome to attend her celebration of her life afterwards at Noon, at the Eagles 2935 H Street. The family suggests donations be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society and will be handled thru Coles Tribute Center, 1950 Place St. Baker City, OR 97814
